Money Raised So Far:
Since the inception of the CARTEN 100 sponsored cycle ride from Cardiff to Tenby, a staggering £27,511 has been raised for charity. Thanks to all those who have taken part and to the support staff without whom the event would not be possible.

CARTEN 100, raising money for charity » Learn More Some of the CARTEN 100 team with a very large cheque for £10,245.50. The money was raised at the CARTEN 100 cycle ride in May, 2009 and goes to Ty Hafan, the family hospice for young lives in Wales.

Where the Money Goes

Often we were asked if the ride is for charity, so in 2006 we formed our own fund raising charity, CARTEN 100 (CARdiff to TENby 100 miles). That year with some generous sponsorship and the sale of cycling shirts we raised £6,068 for Ty Hafan, the Children's Hospice in Wales. In 2007 we raised £5,201 for The Joshua Foundation and in 2008, £6,007 for Ty Hafan.

Very well done to all of those who helped raise a staggering £10,245.50 in 2009 for Ty Hafan. We are looking forward to another great year in 2010.

Ty Hafan - This Years Charity

Ty Hafan, the Children's Hospice in Wales, is a very special place at Sully, close to Barry, West of Cardiff. It was purpose built and opened in January 1999 to provide help and support for the 300+ Welsh families where one or more of the children suffer from a life-limiting illness. As this service is completely free to all the families that use Ty Hafan, it now costs over £2.5 million every year to operate and they need our help.
